JSO renews search for missing Navy chief

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office announced on Wednesday arenewed push for help in the search for a Navy chief who went missing in May.

JSO Assistant Chief Chris Butler said Kevin Williams got into an argument with his wife at the Avenues Mall on May 28 around 2:15 p.m.

Williams left the mall and walked across the street to the Kangaroo Gas Station where he bought something then left in a cab.

Butler said sometime between 2:45 p.m. and 3 p.m. that same day, the cab took him to what is now called the Avesta Sunbeam apartments on Sunbeam Road. Williams hasn't been seen since.

Foul play is not suspected in Williams' disappearance, but Butler said Williams' family is still looking for him.
