JSO: Elderly man found in Jacksonville Beach after going missing Friday

Police are looking for a 70-year-old man with medical conditions who went missing, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

UPDATE: Philip Swain was found safe in Jacksonville Beach later on Friday.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police are looking for a 70-year-old man with medical conditions who went missing, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Philip Ancel Swain is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue flannel shirt and blue jeans. He has Alzheimer's disease and dementia, JSO said.

The man left his residence on Friday and was driving his vehicle. After searching the nearby area Swain's vehicle was found in the 4400 block of Hendricks Avenue. He was not in the vehicle and it's unknown if he got into another vehicle or if he's walking.

Anyone who has any information in reference to the location of this missing person or has seen him since 12:45 p.m. today is asked is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500 or email them at JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org.
