St. Johns County debris, household waste collection schedules

Rebuilding in St. Augustine

Attention all customers of St. Johns County solid waste services, Republic Services and Advanced Disposal: those companies have created debris and household waste collection schedules after Hurricane Matthew.

For curbside collection of storm debris:

Collection of storm debris throughout SJC will begin Monday, Oct. 10. You must pile the debris loosely at the curb; do not place the waste in garbage bags or barrels. Also, do not place construction materials or household garbage with the debris.

Household trash and bagged debris must be separated.

Contractors will be making multiple passes through each neighborhood for pickup.

For trash and recycling:

Oct. 10, if you usually get your trash picked up on Thursday or Friday, your trash will be picked up Monday.

Oct. 11, standard pickup resumes - if your trash is normally picked up on Monday or Tuesday, it will be picked up Oct. 11.

Oct. 12, recycling pickup will resume - there are no makeup days for missed recycling collection.
