Handicapped Gainesville man found safe

GAINESVILLE,Fla. -- The Alachua Sheriff's Office announced Monday morning that David E. Buscher, 19, was found safe.

Buscher was originally reported missing by authorities on April 7.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Authorities are searching for a Gainesville man with the mental capacity of a 7-year-old who has been missing nearly two weeks.

David E. Buscher, 19, was last seen April 7 traveling on foot in the area of 4100 NW 39th Avenue, according to the Alachua County Sheriff's Office.

Buscher suffers from a mental impairment and family members have described him as having the mental capacity of a 7 year old.

He has a long scar on his left leg.

Buscher has no family or know associates in the Alachua County area. He is originally from the Suwannee County area.

Authorities do not know what he was wearing or where he might be heading.
