Gov. Scott suspends Hampton mayor

BRADFORD COUNTY, Fla. -- Florida Governor Rick Scott suspends Hampton, Fla. mayor from office Wednesday afternoon.

November 25, Barry Moore, 51, was charged with a second degree felony of sale and possession of controlled substance.

Agents from the Bradford County Sheriff's Office contacted Moore in an attempt to make a purchase. Once at the residence, the agents asked for a pill.

According to the BCSO police report, Moore says he would give them one but he wasn't selling to anyone.

Moore allegedly gave the the agents a cigarette pack that contained the pill, which officers identified as Oxycondone. Officers identified Moore from the transaction video.

The Sheriff's Office said Moore is being held on a $45,000 bond.
