Drug bust in Arlington lands woman in jail

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police served a warrant Friday morning at a house in Arlington following a drug investigation.

A home in the 6600 block of of Lenczyk Drive was searched Friday morning after undercover units with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office allegedly bought drugs from a resident of the home, according to JSO Sgt. Felipe Alicea.

A search warrant was obtained and served, landing 40-year-old Yolanda Shera Smith in jail on charges of selling cocaine.

Children were present in the home at the time the warrant was served, however it is too soon to determine if the Florida Department of Children and Families will be notified.

Neighbors watching the bust told First Coast News the house was known for strange activity and many were hoping the residents would move.

According to real estate website Zillow, the home is an 1,800 sgft single family home with four bedrooms.
