A lawyer arguing for her termination told the school board she has a record going back to 1995, but a lawyer in her defense says the charges were trumped up and she should have been suspended.

One school board member got choked up talking about the allegations and said the board needed to protect children by terminating Howard. The board voted 6-1 to fire her.
