Google Glass available to public for limited time

Google will make Glass available to anyone who wants to purchase a pair as soon as next week, reports The Verge.

According to documents obtained by The Verge, Google will sell the wearable computing device to anyone willing to pay $1,500.

Buyers will also get a sunglasses shade or one of Google's newly-introduced prescription glasses frames with their purchase.

The sale is reported to be only one day long and only U.S. residents will be eligible to make purchases.

The rumored sale is just an expansion of Google's Glass Explorer program, which began back in 2012.

"The Glass Explorer program includes people from all walks of life, including doctors, firefighters and parents," read a previous statement from Google. "Anyone can sign up to become a Glass Explorer. The only requirements we have is that he or she is a U.S. resident and over the age of 18."

The report comes just two days after Google rolled out its new Glass at Work program.
