Tallahassee, FL – The Do Not Call list is the top consumer complaint in Florida during May.
Commissioner of Agriculture Adam H. Putnam announced Thursday the top three complaints to 1-800-HELP-FLA in May were violations of the statewide Do Not Call List, issues related to cable companies and solicitation of contributions from charities. The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services received 3,700 complaints in May.
11,163 telephone numbers were added to Florida's Do Not Call list last month. Currently, there are more than 663,000 numbers on the list. The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services also recovered $513,814 on behalf of Florida consumers in May.
