Car crashes into Arlington bank

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A SUV crashed into an Arlington bank Saturday afternoon.

A man driving Lincoln Navigator lost control and drove through the front door of The Jacksonville Postal and Professional Credit Union at 1820 Rogero Rd. He told police he was heading north on Rogero Road when he lost his brakes and swerved into the bank.

The SUV narrowly missed two men working across the street from the bank. The men told First Coast News they had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit.

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office deputies on the scene said the man walked away from the crash and was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.

The bank was closed Saturday and no one was inside at the time of the crash.
