CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- Eduardo Arosho, 62, was hit by a car Tuesday night while traveling northbound on US 17 and Water Oak Lane, according to the Clay County Sheriff's Office.
Arosho was hit by Jordan C. Joest, 30, who was driving a Toyota Tercel northbound on US 17 in the outside travel lane when Joest crashed into the back of the bicyclist.
CCSO said Joest did not see the bike approaching due to the back of the bicycle not having any rear lamps.
Arosho was ejected from the bicycle and transported to UF Shands Jacksonville with life-threatening injuries.
According to CCSO, Joest did not have any injuries and charges are currently pending.
