ATMs give you the option of a virtual teller

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- You may be noticing something a little different at some of the ATMs around town. Jacksonville is the first Florida city to get an ATM with Teller Assist through Bank of America.

Basically it does everything a normal ATM would do and more, such as cashing checks to the penny and you can make credit card and mortgage payments.

One of the most impressive features is the Teller Assist which connects you to a live person that you can see on the screen that can help you with your banking.

"One of the great things about Jacksonville specifically is that these virtual tellers are located here in Jacksonville, at a call center on Southside," says Wendy Delp the Area Executive for Bank of America.

A customer can talk to the virtual teller either through a speaker or a phone to have more privacy. The new ATM with Teller Assist is available from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, then 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Bank of America locations.
