JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville City Council holds a public budget meeting Tuesday at 5 p.m.
At 6 p.m., the public is given the opportunity to comment about next year's budget before the city votes.
September 5, the City Council finance committee voted to pass the city's final budget numbers. The finance committee added $51,023,305 to the budget and spent a total of 60 hours in meetings over the month of August.
The budget now goes before the City Council for review, possible changes and approval.
The city's fiscal year kicks in on October 1.
