JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- UF Health Jacksonville North is scheduled to open in early 2015 to provide a variety of health care service to residents in northern Duval and Nassau counties.
UF Health Jacksonville North will bring access to UF Health physicians and community physicians to one convenient location that is closer to where residents work and raise their families.
The $60-$65 million medical complex, funded by Landmark Healthcare Facilities, will be located off Interstate 95 and Duval Road on Max Leggett Parkway near River City Marketplace.
UF Health Jacksonville North will feature:
Approximately 210,000 square feet and six stories of outpatient care
- An emergency department, urgent care, imaging services, women's health services, operating room suites, cardiac catheterization labs and interventional radiology room on the first two floors
- UF Health and community physician practices on the remaining floors
The decision to expand services on the Northside was based on the tremendous growth in population. In less than a decade, north Jacksonville grew in population by 22 percent, and did so 50 percent faster than surrounding areas.
UF Health acquired 70 acres of land to build an outpatient medical complex, with a community hospital to follow. Construction is expected to last about 18 months.
UF Health conducts research, educates tomorrow's physicians and other medical providers, and offers primary care and highly specialized services for patients at every stage in life.
