UPDATE 8/7/13: The victim has been identified by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office as Martin Bediako. According to the JSO release, no foul play is suspected at this time.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to a drowning on the West Side mid-morning Tuesday.
The body of a 37-year-old man was found in the pool of the Madison at Savannah Oaks Apartments just after 8 a.m., according to Sgt. Janson with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
The man's identity has not been released, but JSO did state the drowning victim was a member of the Navy.
The victim's wife and family live out of state and not at the complex on the 6000 block of Roosevelt Boulevard. The Naval Criminal Investigative Service has been notified.
At this point in the investigation, no foul play is suspected.
