JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A woman died in a traffic crash early Sunday morning after losing control of her vehicle and striking a concrete barrier.
Elizabeth Murray Case, 24, was traveling on southbound Interstate 95 north of Emerson Street around 3:40 a.m. when her vehicle left the road and began traveling on the grass shoulder, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report, .
Case then steered the 2005 Saab SUV she was driving to the left, causing her to lose control of the vehicle, travel across all lanes of traffic and strike a concrete barrier head on.
According to the FHP report, Case was not wearing a seat belt. Investigators are looking into whether the crash was alcohol-related.
