WELAKA, Fla. -- Another person was arrested in connection with an animal cruelty case on July 22, according to a Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
During the investigation Deondra Milledge allegedly named her boyfriend, Ryan Flynn, as the person who placed a pit bull/hound mix and her puppies by the side of the road.
Chief Charlie Piwowarski with the Welaka Police Department found Flynn, 33, located hiding out in the Welaka area.
Flynn was turned in to the PCSO and transported to the Putnam County Jail where he was booked on two counts of Causing Cruel Death by Pain and Suffering to an Animal, and three counts of Abandonment of an Animal.
One puppy, named "Beecher" has survived. His new family is caring for him and he now has his own Facebook page called "Hope for Beecher".
Sheriff Jeff Hardy stated "It amazes me that a human being can be so insensitive and cruel".
