JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An officer with the Jacksonville Sheriffs Office is behind bars after allegedly misusing her company laptop.
Hazel Moore, 40, is accused of recording internal conversations with her computer without informing all parties, according to JSO Undersheriff Dwain Senterfitt.
After an investigation, Moore was confronted about the conversations and claims it was due to an issue with her superior officer.
Senterfitt explained that Moore was allegedly using the video recording feature of her laptop to record the audio.
Moore is charged with illegal interception of communication, which is a felony in the state of Florida. Moore is also charged with tampering with evidence for allegedly attempting to remove the files from her laptop.
Moore has been with JSO since 2003 and was assigned to Zone 4, Senterfitt detailed.
