JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. -- After this last round of tornados to hit Oklahoma City, that area needs help now more than ever. One local restaurant has stepped up to help.
TacoLu held a Big, Fat Garage Sale to continue to raise funds for Oklahoma. The items for sale were inherited when moving into the new restaurant as well as items the staff and guests have donated.
"People are dropping stuff off and then buying, and then donating on top of it. They're spending, they're donating to us 100 dollars worth of stuff, then they're spending 50 dollars and then donating even more on top of that. So, everybody has really come together and just is really pulling for these victims in Oklahoma," says manager Kaitlyn Ash.
The big ticket item up for sale is the Dos Equis Most Interesting Man portrait. The Red Cross disaster relief fund receives 100% of the proceeds from the event.
The Blood Alliance was also onsite from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. to accept blood donations.
