JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police believe alcohol played a role in a head on crash on Park St. resulting in life-threatening injury Monday night.
The crash occurred around 7:45 p.m., according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Department.
Police said a Ford Mustang was traveling westbound on Park St. when it collided with a white van traveling in the eastbound lane.
The driver of the Mustang was transported to University of Florida Health with life-threatening injuries.
According to JSO, alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.
The two passengers in the white van had minor injuries and were not taken to the hospital.
Charges are pending, according to JSO.
