JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A jury convicted Enrique Pajaro, 20, for the 2012 murder of Robert Scott.
According to a release from the State Attorney's office, Pajaro was charged with murder in the first degree and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
In March 2012, Pajaro and his co-defendant, Merienne Blake, arranged a meeting to meet Scott at Blake's home to get high. After Scott passed out from using drugs, Blake and Pajaro stole Scott's drugs, smoked the drugs and then attacked him while he was asleep.
Scott was hit several times with a hammer by Pajaro and when Scott tried to defend himself he was choked to death by Pajaro.
Pajaro will be sentenced next week and faces life in prison according to the release.
