JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A fatal crash closed two lanes of Myrtle Ave. mid-morning Wednesday.
Jacksonville Sheriff's Office traffic homicide detectives were on scene investigating a crash at Myrtle and West 10th Streets.
According to police, a woman went through a stop sign and crashed into a tree. The victim was taken to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
Investigators suspect the victim had a medical emergency behind the wheel.
All lanes of Myrtle Ave. between West 9th and W 10th St, are closed until further notice.
