JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A unidentified man died after the vehicle he was driving struck a guard rail and caught fire early Sunday.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, a black 2007 Chevy Impala traveled off Interstate 295 onto the shoulder, struck the guard rail and caught fire Sunday morning.
The car rotated and overturned, landing on the roof in a wooded area at the bottom of the embankment located off the intersection.
The driver of the Impala died at the scene and has not yet been identified by FHP.
