ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- The Clay County School Board voted 4-1 to deny Orange Park Performing Arts Academy from opening Thursday.
The Charter School Review Committee and Superintendent Charlie Van Zant Jr. both recommended Wednesday for the charter school's application to be denied, according to The Florida Times-Union.
The Times-Union also reports that this is the second time the school has failed to meet state application standards required to open.
