ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. -- A 38-year-old man was arrested Sunday by homicide detectives with the Alachua County Sheriff's Office for his connection to a December 3 killing.
Darren L. Bing, 38, was taken into custody without incident, according to public information officer Lt. Todd Kelly with the sheriff's office.
Kelly said Bing has been charged with the homicide of William H. Redd, 44 and for possession of a weapon or ammunition by a convicted felon.
On December 3, deputies found Redd with a gunshot to his upper torso in the 2000 block of N.E. 192nd Avenue, Kelly said. He was transported to the hospital where he later died, according to release from the sheriff's office.
Bing is being held with bond on the homicide charge, Kelly said.
