JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic dispute Wednesday morning where a man allegedly fired shots inside a home.

A woman in the home on the 2900 block of University Boulevard called police at 4:30 a.m. after the suspect took a handgun and started shooting, according to Sgt. Robert John with the sheriff's office. Two women and children were also  inside the home at the time, but no injuries were reported.

A male suspect, whose identity has not been released, was taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
