JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A Duval County Public Schools teacher accused of having sex with a student has been terminated without pay.

The Duval County School Board on Tuesday night approved the termination of Danielle Reed, 23, a language arts teacher at Atlantic Coast High School.

In November, Reed pleaded guilty to child abuse. She was sentenced to five years of probation and cannot teach or have unsupervised contact with a minor.
