JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The St. Johns River Ferry will be out of service Saturday, November 24 but it isn't because of any problems or mechanical issues - the ferry will be participating in the Jacksonville Light Parade.
Ferry service will stop at 2 p.m. Saturday and reopen Sunday starting at 7 a.m.
The Jacksonville Light Parade will start a 7 p.m. Saturday along the downtown riverfront.
After the parade there will be a fireworks display featuring the signature bridge "waterfalls."
The Jacksonville Light Parade is being held this year thanks to a public-private partnership.
Admission to the Light Parade is free.
