JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office released the name of a man killed in a shooting Saturday at 21st and Boulevard Streets.
Nathan Mattison, 26, was shot and killed after an altercation, according to police.
JSO Sergeant Shawn Coarsey said witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots around 5:30 Saturday afternoon.
When police arrived they found a woman giving Mattison CPR.
Rescue personnel transported Mattison to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
"We have some conflicting stories about exactly where it happened, but they (witnesses) are all saying there was some type of argument or altercation, shots were fired. Suspect is described as a black male, he fled on foot," says Sgt. Shawn Coarsey, with the JSO Homicide unit.
JSO is still searching for the suspect.
