PALM COAST, Fla. -- The Fourth Annual Emergency Medical Competition is this weekend in Flagler County and volunteers are needed to play the roles of emergency medical patients.
Twenty emergency medical teams from across the country and around the world will come to Palm Coast for the 24-hour competition. Flagler County's World Champion Paramedic Team is hosting the event, which starts at 10 a.m. October 6.
The teams, which hail from New York, Nebraska, Poland, Japan and The Czech Republic will face 11 different medial scenarios to test their emergency medical knowledge and skills.
Volunteers will be given meals and snacks.

Individuals interested in volunteering may also attend a meeting for participants at 5:30 p.m., Friday, October 5, at the Hilton Garden Inn located at 55 Town Center Blvd. in Palm Coast.
