JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Museum of Science & History will offer free admission Saturday, September 29 in honor of Smithsonian Museum Day.
This Saturday, MOSH will participate in Museum Day Live!, an annual event hosted by Smithsonian magazine. The event offers free admission to museums across the country. It is designed to mimic the free admission offered each day by Smithsonian Museums.
Guests can print a ticket valid for free admission for two at www.smithsonianmag.com/museumday.
To mark the occasion, MOSH will present a special day of programming.
Guests will be able to make musical instruments out of recycled household goods thanks to Harmonious MOSH, a partnership between MOSH and the Cathedral Arts Project. The museum said to bring a plastic bottle with you and you can take your newly made instrument home with you.
The Harmonious MOSH activities, science shows and animal encounters are included with museum entry. If you choose to visit the Bryan-Gooding Planetarium you will have to pay an additional $5.
