Man pleads guilty to stealing Christmas decorations

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A 50-year-old man pleaded guilty in court to burglary charges after he was caught stealing a bag full of Christmas decorations and a rug.

Leon Young Bonner pleaded guilty to one count of burglary, according to a news release from the State Attorney's office.

Bonner and an unknown man broke into a home on Ivy Street in February 2011, the release said.

A neighbor witnessed the burglary and said he saw Bonner leave with a bag full of Christmas decorations and a rug.

Bonner is a five-time convicted felon and a habitual felony offender.

In 1994, Bonner was convicted for burglary to a motor vehicle and a has a 2008 conviction for grand theft.

Bonner could be sentenced to up to 30 years in prison.  He is scheduled to be sentenced November 2.
