To honor Talk Like a Pirate Day, Krispy Kreme locations will be offering a bounty of glazed grub: anyone who talks like a pirate at the doughnut store September 19 gets a free glazed doughnut.
Krispy Kreme stores will give a dozen glazed doughnuts for anyone who puts a parrot on their shoulder and shows up in full buccaneer attire.
Dwayne Chambers, Chief Marketing Officer Krispy Kreme Doughnuts said, "Our Talk Like a Pirate Day promotion is a fun and unique opportunity to share the joy of Krispy Kreme online and in our shops as we continue to celebrate 75 years of our one-of-a-kind sweet treats with doughnut fans around the world."
To claim your treasure, you need not a treasure map. But there are a few stipulations:
- Talk like a pirate or wear an eye patch to a participating Krispy Kreme shop for one free original glazed doughnut. The offer is good for one free doughnut per customer who wears an eye patch or talks like a pirate to a Krispy Kreme team member at a participating shop.
- Come to a participating Krispy Kreme location in full pirate costume for one free dozen original glazed doughnuts. No weapons allowed. One free dozen glazed doughnuts per customer who wears a full pirate costume into a participating Krispy Kreme location.
- The offer is only good on September 19 and only at participating Krispy Kreme US locations.
