Adventure Landing going for new world record at 24 hour "Slide-A-Thon" event

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. -- Adventure Landing is hosting a 24 hour event called "The Slide-A-Thon" Friday, August 17th to raise money for Wolfson Children's Hospital.

The event starts at 6:00 p.m., at Adventure Landing's Shipwreck Island in Jacksonville Beach. As many as 96 people will be taking part in the sliding competition. The goal is to set a new world record for the longest continuous sliding competition.

50 families from Wolfson Children's Hospital will be there to watch the world record try.

Tickets are $10.00 each and go on sale Thursday, August 16th at 5:00 pm on Adventure Landing's web site. There are only 96 tickets available, so if you buy tickets will be able to take part in the record breaking attempt.
