JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Ed White High School will host a community meeting to garner support on Thursday, August 16.
The meeting will help the high school gather support for the upcoming 2012-2013 school year.
Ed White is holding the "Calling all Commanders" meeting to get parents, alumni and school and community leaders involved in the school's success.
To start the meeting, Honorable Becki Couch will make opening comments. After that, remarks will be made by the Executive Director of High School Education Larry Roziers. Following Roziers' comments, the senior class president will deliver a speech titled, "Why I love Ed White."
The last speaker of the event will be Principal Christopher Jackson. Jackson will give a State of the School Address.
After the State of the School Address, the meeting will end with a discussion and tour of the school.
The community meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Ed White is located at 1700 Old Middleburg Road.
