JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Junior League of Jacksonville will hold its Whale of a Sale this Friday and Saturday.
The event will take place at the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fairgrounds and Expo Center.
The sale will feature gently used merchandise and will raise funds for Junior League Jacksonville's community projects that benefit children and families in the greater Jacksonville area, according to a release.
Junior League of Jacksonville President Becky Patel said, "We are excited the celebrate the 21st anniversary of the Junior League's fundraiser. With today's economy and the number of families and communities facing financial hardships...the need for this event is now greater than ever."
The two-day event will start with a preview party and silent auction Friday, February 25th, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. VIP shopping is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
Guests attending the preview party will be able to purchase items before the general public arrives Saturday. Tickets to attend the Friday night event are $45, plus an additional $10 for a shopping ticket, and may be purchased on the Jacksonville Junior League's website.
Saturday the sale will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is $2.
According to a release, all proceeds from the Whale of a Sale support the Jacksonville Junior League mission, which "includes training volunteers and implementing community projects that improve the lives of children and families by helping children succeed in school."
