5 vehicle crash responsible for Saturday I-95 slow-downs

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A five-vehicle pile-up involving a tractor trailer snarled traffic on Interstate 95 Saturday.

The crash closed multiple northbound lanes near Emerson Street for more than 6 hours.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the tractor trailer was traveling north on I-95 when it collided with a Toyota Corolla. The Corolla was pushed into three more vehicles that were stopped due to road construction.

Two northbound lanes were closed for hours while crews cleaned up a large amount of motor oil that leaked onto the road.

The driver of the Corolla and a 13-year-old passenger of another vehicle suffered minor injuries.
