ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.—Two people were taken to the hospital after a pickup and a fire truck collided on State Road 206 in St. Augustine Tuesday afternoon.

Fire officials say that the crash happened just before 2:30 and say they aren't sure how it happened. The fire truck is a ladder-carrying truck with two separate drivers.

None of the firefighters were hurt, but two passengers in the pickup had to be taken to Flagler Hospital, says St. Johns County Fire Rescue spokesperson Jeremy Robshaw.

The fire truck was heading to a nearby call when it collided with the pickup on W. Seacove Avenue at SR 206. At this time, officials aren't sure if the fire truck's emergency lights were on or not.
