2 men arrested in St. Augustine brawl

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Two men were arrested in connection to a Tuesday night brawl in St. Augustine involving 30 to 50 people. Officers recognized many of the individuals as members of a local gang, Street Runners.

According to a St. Johns County Sheriff's Office police report, officers responded to a disturbance at the parking lot of the YMCA Solomon Calhoun Center located at 1300 Duval Street. The individuals began to run when officers arrived, the release detailed.

De'Vontray Moore, 18, and 19-year-old Darrell Sparrow continued to fight and reportedly ignored officer's commands. The report says an officer used a taser to subdue Sparrow before taking both into custody.

Moore and Sparrow are charged with battery and affray.

Officers received cellphone video of the event during the investigation. The report says the video shows another suspect, who has not been arrested, involved in physical altercation holding knives in a threatening manner.

The investigation is ongoing.
