JSO: 17-year-old female shot on Northside, no outstanding suspects sought

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 17-year-old black female is recovering from non-life threatening injuries Tuesday morning after being shot in a vehicle on the Northside Monday night.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the victim was riding as a passenger in a car that was at the intersection of West 34th Street and Pearce Street when she was struck with a bullet fired from an undetermined location.

The victim was transported to UF Health following the shooting. Investigators are currently unsure as to if she was the intended target of the shooting. JSO has said that they are not currently looking for any outstanding suspects in this case.
