JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has arrested a man accused of killing 30-year-old Troy Lamont Colton back in 2015.

Police say Dewayne Wimblerly shot Colton multiple times at the gas station near Interstate 10. Police said the shooting happened during a confrontation as Colton was returning to his car.

Police say the possible motive for the murder was the fact that the victim and some of this friends beat up the suspect's friend.

Police say the driver of the get-a-way vehicle was a 25-year-old black female, she has since been arrested.

On April 22, 2015 there was an officer-involved shooting and police say those two were also involved in that incident. Police say officers spotted a vehicle that was stolen in a car jacking in a motel parking lot. They waited for the suspects to come back to the car and the female was taken into custody. Police say Wimberly was shot in the leg and arrested on gun charges.
