Jacksonville man arrested for threatening Muslim family with AK-47

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Robert Ruetting, 52, is being arrested for allegedly threatening to kill a family with an AK-47.

According to the police report, Ruetting came outside, upset, holding a pistol and a "maglite" flashlight while his neighbor Aied Alzaidy and his wife were on their front porch watering their plants. Alzaidy's wife went inside when their neighbor came over.

Alzaidy said that Ruetting threatened him with the pistol saying that if he moved, Ruetting would kill him. Ruetting put the pistol to Alzaidy's head and struck him with the flashlight. His wife came out and began screaming at that time which caused Ruetting to run back into his residence.

Ruetting came back out with an AK-47 and, according to the report, said "I'm going to kill all your Muslim m----- f------k get out of my country. Don't walk to my wife," while pointing the gun at Alzaidy, his wife and kids.

Ruetting is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.
