DALLAS, Texas -- At 53-years-old, Botox is as big a part of Paul Herschman's grooming regimen as anything else.

"Just like lifting weights, and watching what I eat, it kind of goes along the same lines," Herschman said.

Dr. Bill Johnson with Innovations Med Spa says in the past year and a half, his practice has seen double digit increases in the number of men coming to him for cosmetic procedures.

"Most of the men tell me that they're trying to be more competitive within the marketplace. When you're an older gentlemen in their late 40's, early 50's and you're trying to compete with young men in their late 20's, early 30's," Dr. Bill Johnson said.

In a time when most people are cutting back on cosmetic procedures, the number of men opting for non-invasive treatments actually rose two percent.

"I think Botox is easily the most common, but we're seeing more and more folks with some of the thermage procedures and even liposuction on the men is pretty common," Dr. Bill Johnson said.

Paul has had both Botox and liposuction, "I'm in a competitive marketplace and I want to look my best."

He says he will continue the treatments as long as he is in the workforce.
