VILANO BEACH, FL -- A teenage girl has died from her injuries after being rescued from a plane crash off Vilano Beach Sunday.
A father and daughter on the plane remain missing.
The plane flew out of Craig Field en route to Fort Pierce when it went down in the water around 2:00 p.m.
The passengers have been identified as Gary Tillman, 43, of Rome, GA., his daughter Hanna, 16, Anna Kipp, 16, and Rachel Hostetler, also 16.
Friends of the passengers tell First Coast News the victims were on their way to the Bahamas.
Coast Guard teams rescued Kipp and Hostetler late Sunday afternoon.
A spokesperson at Flagler Hospital told First Coast News Kipp died from her injuries.
Hostetler has been moved to Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville for further treatment, the spokesperson said.
The plane is registered to Gary Tillman, according to our Gannett sister station WXIA.
The wreckage has not yet been located.
High surf is making the rescue and recovery effort difficult for crews.
Choppers have been unable to fly because visibility has been down to 200 feet at certain times.
The Coast Guard is bringing in more crews to beef up the search effort.
The Coast Guard cutter Shrike, based out of Port Canaveral, and aircraft from Clearwater are being deployed to the Vilano Beach area to assist.
