ATLANTA, Ga. -- The Fulton County Department of Health Services says two mosquito samples have tested positive for West Nile Virus.
The samples were taken Chastian Park in Atlanta and Whittier Mills Park which is also in Atlanta.
"August begins the peak season for West Nile Virus," said Patrice A. Harris, Director of Fulton County Health Services. "The identification of these samples is a reminder to all of us to take precautions when outdoors."
According to Fulton County Health Services, to reduce exposure to the West Nile Virus people should follow the 5 D's of Protection which are listed here.
