WOODBINE, Ga. (AP) -- Sheriff's deputies in south Georgia say they confiscated $18,000 worth of clothing with the price tags still attached after pulling over a Jeep carrying three Florida residents.
The Florida Times-Union reports that a Camden County deputy stopped the vehicle on Interstate 95 Sunday. Deputy William Terrell says the occupants couldn't provide any verifiable information about where they got the clothing. Authorities seized it and sent the Jeep on its way.
Terrell said officials are now trying to find out where the clothing -- which included some items from Victoria's Secret -- originated.
Terrell said the Jeep's occupants, from the Tampa, Fla. area, said they had visited a friend in Savannah to obtain clothing that they would eventually send to Cuba.
They were released as authorities continue to investigate.
