CARTERSVILLE, Ga. -- Authorities northwest of Atlanta say two sheriff's deputies have been involved in a deadly shooting.
Bartow County sheriff's officials tell CBS Atlanta that two of their deputies were involved in the gunfire at 6 p.m. Thursday on Evergreen Trail in Cartersville
Sheriff's Sgt. Jonathan Rogers tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that neither of the two deputies was hurt.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating, which is standard procedure in an officer-involved shooting case. GBI spokesman John Bankhead said the shooting happened as deputies were executing a drug search warrant.
Few other details were immediately available early Friday.
