DUNWOODY, Ga. -- Police in the Atlanta suburb of Dunwoody are investigating a deadly shooting at an apartment complex.
    
CBS Atlanta reports that a man was killed early Friday morning at the complex off Peachtree Place Parkway.
    
Dunwoody Police Sergeant Michael Carlson says officers found the 28-year-old man inside an apartment with at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to Northside Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
    
Witnesses told police the shooter fled the scene on foot. The suspect is described as a short, heavy set black male who was clean shaven and had short hair. Police say he was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and shorts.
    
Dunwoody is just north of Atlanta.
