FORT STEWART, Ga. -- A military jury at Fort Stewart is scheduled to resume hearing evidence in the trial of a soldier charged with killing his two Army roommates in Iraq.
    
Spc. Neftaly Platero of Kingwood, Texas, was to return to court Monday. He faces a possible life sentence if convicted of premeditated murder in the slayings of Pfc. Gebrah Noonan of Watertown, Conn. and Spc. John Carrillo Jr. of Stockton, Calif. The soldiers shared a room at a U.S. base camp in Fallujah when the victims were shot on Sept. 23, 2010.
    
Army prosecutors say Platero shot his roommates after he complained to a supervisor that their room was too messy. Platero's attorney, Guy Womack, says investigators rushed to judgment.
    
The trial began last week. Prosecutors are still presenting their case.
