SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Dozens of bands heading to the South by Southwest music festival in Texas this year are planning a Georgia layover to perform at the second Savannah Stopover.
More than 40 bands have announced plans to play the four-day music fest in Savannah this March before they head to the main event in Austin, Texas.
The roster includes bands such as The War On Drugs, The Love Language, Caveman and Jukebox The Ghost.
The festival runs March 7-10 at clubs and venues throughout Savannah's downtown historic district. Organizers say they expect the final event will feature more than 70 bands as more acts are confirmed in the coming weeks.
